Here is a first sneak peek of my work on Rush Tactics during my internship as an environment artist at Skybox! The game is a strategic card game inspired by first-person shooters.
I was responsible for planning and creating the environment as well as set dressing. Being the only environment artist on the project, I needed to be efficient with my time. I decided to use Substance Designer to create tiling materials for concrete, stone, and wood among others. This significantly sped up the process since I didn't have to spend time individually texturing and UV-mapping models. I also created a modular building kit and focused on props that could be used many times in the level.
I had a lot of fun working with this hand-painted inspired style! I will be posting a closer look on my materials and props, so keep an eye out.

I did not use AI for my work.
