Modular Buildings & Props - Rush Tactics

Here's my final post showcasing my work during my internship as an environment artist at Skybox!
This time, it's my modular building kit and various props. Since the game is viewed mostly zoomed out, it wasn't necessary to add many details, as they wouldn't be visible anyway. However in some cases, like the pots, I just couldn't resist to add some decorative elements! Also, due to limited time, I couldn't spend too much time on one model. To help with that, I created a random brushstroke material in Substance Designer to speed up the texturing process. That helped reduce the time spent on texturing and also kept the look cohesive.

Working on this project taught me a lot about taking initiative, planning, and game development with a professional team. I enjoyed working with the style and setting, and it was interesting to look up references and interpret them into our art style. I had a wonderful time with a great team and lovely colleagues!

High poly sculpt of the bigger group of rocks. This is all the same sculpt, just shown in different angles. I wanted to get the most out of one model, so the sides are all different. Got inspired by the iconic Halo-rock... If you know, you know!
